Provoke, Innovate, Inspire was the motto of the IV Junior Delphic Games 2011, Johannesburg City. These days the National Delphic Council South Africa launched the newly created website: www.ndcsa.co.za
The hosting of the Junior Delphic Games and the intension to realise national and continental Delphiads by South Africa is based on the experience of participating in two international Delphic Games in Malaysia (2005) and South Korea (2009) where South Africa won medals.

The National Delphic Council South Africa invited to the IV Junior Delphic Games to be held at Joburg City, South Africa from November 14th to 20th, 2011. Joburg is the World Class City in Africa; Capital of Culture and Finance in the Gauteng Province of South Africa. The Delphic Games present an opportunity for young artists to converge, showcase, and experience inter-country arts and culture. The very first time the Delphic Games will take place in Africa, a historic moment. They will help to strengthen and showcase the cultural and spiritual wealth of the continent to the world.

Announcement at tourism fair ITB: South Africa will host the IV Junior Delphic Games in 2011

Berlin, 13 March 2011. A cultural group from South Africa participated in the closing ceremony of the ITB as part of the Delphic Games Celebrations where the announcement was made that South Africa will be hosting the Junior Delphic Games in Nelson Mandela Bay from 14 - 20 November 2011.

"The Celebration of the Delphic Games - The Grand Finale of the ITB Berlin 2011" became part of the International Year of Youth activities, announced by the United Nations. During the ITB event young artists and cultural activists of many countries and different continents will present an exceptional show program promoting the understanding of the diverse cultures. The show will take place on Sunday, 13th of March 2011, 3:30 - 5:00 pm, at the Palais am Funkturm. The motto: "art & culture - an experience for all senses".

First films for the competition for the DELPHIC ART MOVIE AWARD arrived
International film-makers and students from universities of arts, film schools and institutes worldwide are participating in the Delphic Art Movie Award (DAMA) documentary short film competition. Shortly after the start of the registration period the first films arrived. The films should be intended to document, to inform, to inspire and to encourage the enthusiasm and understanding of art. Every artistic field is included, from the contemporary avant-garde to the preservation of traditions and the cultural heritage. DAMA winners will be presented at "The Celebration of the Delphic Games - The Grand Finale of ITB Berlin 2011.

Cooperation with SAE and ITB at the DELPHIC ART MOVIE AWARD 2011
The "SAE" institute with over 20,000 students and 58 locations is the oldest and largest private media educational institute in the world. For more than 30 years it sets international standards for the education.
The "ITB" Berlin is the world's leading travel trade show and has a special segment of cultural tourism. The combination of trade exhibition, public exhibition and the world's largest professional convention attracts every year tens of thousands of visitors, exhibitors and media representatives.
The contest for the "Delphic Art Movie Award" will take place at the ITB Berlin from March 9th - 13th, 2011.

Pro Heraldica will host the "XXIXth International Congress of Genealogical and Heraldic Sciences 2010" in Stuttgart , 12th - 17th September 2010. Experts from all over the world are gathering to discuss questions of identity in Genealogy and Heraldry. The quest of tracing identity is a fascinating and exciting undertaking. Cultures are creating diverse identities, which can be presented under the umbrella of the Delphic Games. Pro Heraldica became official advisor of the International Delphic Council and developed the Code of Arms of the organisation.

"Nation Branding in a Globalized World" - was the theme of an international conference in Berlin, 29th July - 1st August 2010, hosted by the "Institute for Cultural Diplomacy". The program consisted of lectures, seminars, workshops, debates and panel discussions. Speakers from across the world participated, including leading figures and experts from international politics, academia, the diplomatic community, civil society and the private sector. The International Delphic Council was official partner of the conference.

The preservation of world intangible cultural heritage has become a new initiative of the International Delphic Council (IDC) with the award as "Delphic World Intangible Cultural Heritage" (DWICH). It is the objective to protect those cultural values and artistic traditions of people in danger to fade away. The IDC started its worldwide research for cultural values to preserve this treasure for future generations. East Korean Traditional Folk Songs "Dongbu Minyo" are appointed as first DWICH. At the IDC Head Office in Berlin J. Christian B. Kirsch, Secretary General, handed over the Certificate of Appointment to Prof. Soo-Kwan Park, Ph.D., South Korea .

Prince Park Soo Kwan, Delphic Ambassador, attended the historic coronation of Xhosa King where he met Chief Nkosi Mandela, Grandson of Nelson Mandela. The event took place on the 18th June 2010 at Nqadu Royal Palace in Willowvale , Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. Kings, Sheiks, Princes and Chiefs from the African continent joined the proceedings.

Poznan has expressed its interest to bid for the Delphic Games. With Tomasz Wendland a well-known artist and culture manager of the city gets involved. After several successful Delphic Games in Asia time has come to get the Games back to Europe, said Lukas J. Cissowski, Executive Board Member of the International Delphic Council to "Gazeta Wyborcza", largest polish newspaper.

Gad Weil, designated President of NDC France, transformed on the 23rd and 24th of May the Champs-Elysées in Paris with his project "Nature Capitale" in an ocean of plants, flowers and trees. Almost 2 million spectators stunned about the colourful beauty. Federal President Nicolas Sarkozy personally took the time to open this spectacular event.

Representatives of the IDC were officially invited to participate in the "Gathering of Traditional Leaders in Honour of and to pay Tribute to Nelson Mandela" in Pretoria on the 5th of November 2009. They met Chiefs, Kings and Queens, among them the Grandson of Nelson Mandela, Mr. Nkosi Zwelivelile Mandela, Head of Mvezo Traditional Council.

Water, as symbol of the Delphic Games is of equal importance as the fire for the Olympic Games. With a ceremony of the water fetching at the Kastalian Spring, the III Delphic Games 2009 were initiated weeks prior to the Games and its official Opening Ceremony in Jeju, Korea.
Members of the OrgCom 2009 met the mayor of Delphi, Panagiotis KALTSIS, to prepare the ritual.
